Pravda

Future Mode of Operations + Jannov Werdevsky

A major storm hits Europe,
trees go down, water and air traffic are impossible,
highways blocked by blown over trucks and millions travelers stuck at some station.
Coach Bertels is in his Cube, watching the news about the storm as a 4th dead is pronounced.
Suddenly there’s a deep voice comming from outside, howling against the wind.
As the Coach stares into the darkness to see were it’s comming from, a huge man appears.
With a long fur coat and hat this big fellow starts to speak some abacadabra language,
the Coach was stunned by his hungry, begging looks.
The weather is horrible and the Coach decides to let the man in and give him some hot coffee.
After his coffee he starts to speak a little German, a language the Coach understands,
and soon it became clear who this man is: Jannov Werdevsky, Russian.
Jannov was travelling from Kiev to Ermelo when the train he was in got stuck at a station in the far west of east Leiden,
somehow the driver missed a few signs.
Due to the storm, falling trees and darkness,
all train traffic was shut down and Jannov started drinking beer in a local pub in Leiden.
When he realised he had no place to sleep, Jannov started looking for shelter,
but he was turned away again and again because of his manners, breath and strange language.

In his misery Jannov began singing sad Russian songs about the harsh winters and death in the family caused by pulonium.
It was very lucky that the voice was heard by the Coach,
because they both understood the once in a lifetime oppurtunity to make beautifull music together.
This is how the storm created a unique cooperation,
Jannov Werdevsky and Future Mode of Operations recorded several tracks,
resulting in the mini album Pravda, the truth.

Tracklist:

01 Jannov

Sounds of the Kiev Elderly Choir,
Jannov had fresh recordings with him.
But instead of singing along,
he's fooling around.
The storm must had effect.

02 Ice Bath

Jannov's impression of a real russian ice bath.
Damn cold,
Healthy and risky for the heart.
Well Russians are rough..

03 Vodka dreams

According to my Russian guest,
this is a regular Russian dream.
It has something to do with happiness,
Luck, fear and bells.

04 Rasputin

One of the most famous Russians of all times.
A simple man,
a lot of influence.
The fall of a leader,
and his entire family.

Even at breakfest, Jannov has ambitions......

Pravda was created in cooperation with Jannov Werdevsky at Coach Bertels' his Cube in January 2007.
